Pressure Calibration

The CLC II pressure calibration laboratory is equipped to handle all types of pressure instruments and pressure systems calibration. Our services includes vacuum and static pressure. We calibrate for all types of pressure standards and instruments, such as:

•   Aircraft Test Stands
•   Air Data Testers
•   Analog Pressure Gauges
•   Differential Pressure Systems
•   Digital Pressure Gauges
•   Manometers
•   Transducers

We maintain accurate equipment and records and offer NIST traceability for all of our pressure calibration services. For more information on pressure calibration services, contact us today. Our Quality Assurance Program meets ANSI/NCSL Z540-1, and ISO/IEC 17025:2005.

Low Pressure Calibration Answers

CSA of Canada "Customer Service Support"

I received a call from Tim, one of our hipot customers. His company is in the process of being certified by CSA of Canada, as a result are required to have their pressure gauges calibrated.  Calibrating pressure gauges is not a problem, lots of cal labs do that, his concern was whether or not we can calibrate low pressure gauges.  His main concern was a 5 PSI gauge in 100th of a PSI increments.

Analog Pressure

Calibration of low pressure analog gauges are not dependent on the scale resolution.  Gauge dials are divided into thirds for accuracy purposes. The first and last third are less accurate than the middle third, which is where the gauge is designed to be used. Calibration points are selected from each of the thirds.  The points selected are major marks such as 1, 2, 3, etcetera. The gauge is Tee’d to a pump and a digital manometer. The gauge is charged to the major increment then the pressure is read with the digital manometer.  This gives us the accuracy of .02 % of full scale of the manometer.

How Long Will Gauge Accuracy Last?

Another concern voiced by many customers is, how long can we trust the calibration of this gauge to be accurate?  Excellent question, with only one honest answer, until the gauge is over ranged or subjected to excessive vibration. The manufactures recommendation for recalibration is one year.

Customer Service

Customers ask hard and honest questions. As much as we would like to use this opportunity to brag on our abilities, what the customer wants, needs and deserves is honesty.
